Brandon Connelly from Slacker Manager has been kindly giving away invitations for private beta testing of MindMeister, web collaboration mind mapping application and I was lucky to be among those who got an invitation (thanks, Brandon!).

I would like to do a similar thing, but I will extend it a little bit by creating a collaboration project using MindMeister. I think it might be an interesting experiment to get a group of people, with their own ideas, to create a mind map of a certain topic that is interesting to everybody.

The result of the experiment will be a mind map created by bloggers, with our seeing of the topic.

I suggest “The future of blogging” as a topic because it is interesting to all of us and we all might have some idea about it.

Now, here are some practical details. If you would like to join an experiment leave a message in a comment area and don’t forget to leave your email address so that mind map can be shared with you.

If you don’t participate in MindMeister beta testing, I have another 20 invitations to give away. Let me know.

Just one thing: if you invite someone on “share” who is not yet a member of MindMeister, he or she gets an invitation on the map which includes a sign up for the private beta. Good luck with the project. (and please could you add me as well!)

I would like to try it out for team brainstorming.

Grigor - I think this is an excellent idea. I use mind-mapping all the time to work out ideas, concepts and prepare for blog posts and podcasts.

As I continue to delve into social media and the ways it can help spread the power of the narrative and relate experiences - I would very much be interested in participating.

Also - thanks for calling my attention to MindMeister. I had mentioned mind-mapping to some friends about a year ago, and wished that some had one like this….

Alas, I am not part of the beta, but I would be honored to participate in your concept.

    Hi Grigor,
Unfortunately I’m not a blogger (just don’t seem to have the time), but I’m really into Mind Mapping and would love the chance of an invitation for the MindMeister Beta test.

    Thanks,

    Tom

I have always had a fascination with mindmaps and would love to try out this online software. Thanks.

I’d love to give MindMeister a try. I was a beta tester for MindManager for a while, but couldn’t justify the steep price of that software for my purposes. Maybe this’ll be just the thing.

I would appreciate an invitation and I would like to participate in this very interesting project. Thanks!

I’d love an invite, if you’ve got one to share. Not an uber-blogger, myself, but think I have some ideas worth contributing, and like working collaboratively.

I’d love to give this a shot and compare it with bubbl.us. Thanks.

I just narrowly missed out on an invitation from SlackerManager… but hopefully this will give me a chance to evaluate the software for an upcoming conference where I’ll be talking on collborative software.

How great it would be to get off of MindManager…The cost is just outrageous for non-business use. I would love to try and move my 100’s of maps online. Thanks

  15. on 25 Feb 2007 at 11:38 pmbebal

I’m a blogger and a heavy user of Freemind. So it would be great to participate.

Please count me in for MindMeister. I’m relatively new to MindMapping and would like to experiment with several tools. Thank you.

  21. on 26 Feb 2007 at 6:27 amThom

I would love to have a chance to try it out… I’ve tried FreeMind, but would love to see if a collaborative solution for my whole team can work.

  22. on 26 Feb 2007 at 1:55 pmPaula

I am new to FreeMind and would love the opportunity to try this tool as it seems to offer a better solution to our IA mapping problems.

  23. on 26 Feb 2007 at 2:47 pmRon

I just read the MindMapping book. Would love to get in on this beta.

  24. on 26 Feb 2007 at 3:17 pmChristian Schenk

If you’ve still got some invitations left I’d like an invite, too ;-)

  25. on 26 Feb 2007 at 3:28 pmGrigor

Christian, unfortunatelly I have no invitations left. However, I still can and would like to share a map with as many people as possible. So, try to get an invitation an I’ll share a map with you.
Somebody, please, send an invitation to Christian!!!

I’m new to mind-mapping, so if you’d like the viewpoint of a novice, I’d love an invite.

I’d like to try this in a church setting. I’ve used individual tools before, but we are launching our new website and expanding our blog (from shifts.saintmatthew.org) to some other interactive areas.

If you are interested in non-profit application testing, we’d love to participate.

  29. on 27 Feb 2007 at 11:35 pmjimbz

Hello, I already use Freemind but it’s difficult to share mindmaps with others, so this tool with its import capabilities is my dream. Could you let me in?

  30. on 28 Feb 2007 at 5:14 amAshok

I am interested in trying the mindmap tool. I have used some of the desktop mindmap apps, and would like to try the web app.

    Hi

I’ve tried several mind mapping software but most of them (like Visio) seems to be too bloaty for my purpose. MindMiester seems to be pretty good online software that I’d like to test.

Would you mind to send me an invite (if you have some left)?

    diasfx @ gmail dot com

    Thanks in advance

    Hi!
I know I’m late and therefore i’ll just be an annoying guy more asking for an invite.
However, i’d really appreciate as I’m into those kind of projects.

    Thanks a lot
    See ya
