Guys at MindMeister celebrated a Labour day working. Namely, yesterday they completed a beta testing phase and went live with MindMeister version 1.0.

For those who already tried MindMeister, there are number of improvements:

  • Completely revised map UI (sidebar, new footer, palette removed)
  • Support for font sizes and styles
  • Support for notes on ideas (rich text editor)
  • Notifications on map changes by email and text message (text alerts via Twitter)
  • Title, descriptions and tags for maps
  • Detailed list view for maps with tags filter
  • Context menu for ideas (right-click)
  • Copy / paste between maps
  • SSL encryption for login and sign up

Many features are enhanced:

  • Import / export quality improved
  • Multiple image export formats
  • Zoom preferences saved per map
  • Icons, Colors, Styles and Notes also on root
  • Resizable input fields improved
  • Collaboration effects also for icons and style changes
  • RTF export with heading outlines
  • More consistent dialog UI

If you haven’t try it already this list won’t mean much to you. So, go there and try it yourself.

As an example of collaborative effort take a look at “The future of blogging” mind map.

Thanks to Michael, who kindly passed the news to my mail inbox.

I hadn’t hear about that before. I started examining it and it looks pretty nice. Thanks for posting the link.
